    Inland Surfer Recommendations

I have a deal on a 08 Green Loogey for $399 shipped. Sounds good to me, but was wondering if anyone knew anything ground breaking on the 09 line up? I noticed the new Sweet Spot and Swallow models. I know its winter but has anyone ridden the new lineup?

I've ridden the yellow loogey and love it. I have rode the tsunami for a season.

I would hold off about 2-3 months and that board will be $299 on http://boardersbestbuy.com is my guess. I bought my 2007.5 yellow loogey last april/may and got it for $279. Also, you might be able to pick up a good deal at the boat show next weekend too depending on what people bring.

We rode the sweet spot. I posted some pictures and observations over on WW, here.

All of the inland boards are fast down-the-line. I'd just like to see more actual rocker which would aid turning, but would sacrifice some of the aforementioned speed.

I say the Swallow at Surf Expo, it's only about an inch longer than the SS, but maybe 50% thicker. The outline is a bit different, but they both are fairly wide at 22". I haven't ridden the Swallow.

I thought about that, but that is who i called and he said he had 'one' left. The blue lake hasnt been up for less than 399, and inland surfer themselves do not have any green loogeys left.

There's also the Phase 5 boards and Sterling Marine sells those. My buddy got the carbon Drew Daniello model from them last year for like $350.

Have you ridden any phase five boards?

P.S. you ready for spring yet!?

I've ridden the Drew Daniello model and it's pretty sweet. It didn't have the down the line speed that the yellow loogey has but it turns pretty bad azz! My buddy is ~300 and he is able to ride it (surprised the hell out of me). I'm DYING for spring! I need to get a dry suit so I can go ride in April (if there's water yet).

Or, you can do a Walker Project James Walker signature board! But, I am sure surfdad could explain this one better.

A Walker Project is my next board for sure.

I've always had an issue with the P5 construction. They are about the only wakesurf company that still uses Polyester resin. Even the imports are Epoxy these days. In surfboard construction, the shift from poly to epoxy produced lighter and more durable boards.

The Triple X folks basically copied the P5 shapes (which isn't cool) but they use Epoxy and S-glass. IMO, a better construction than Polyester and E-glass.

What do the walker boards run about? I would think those would be hard to find a deal on. I called all the local dealers for inland surfer and no one could come close to 399.

They are around the same $$$. The board I want is either an F18 or a Bullet and that will be little bit more:
