James is good enough to be picked up by a manufacturer and I am sure he will. It will just be who gets to him first. I know surfdad loves tige, but if sanger offered him a boat....

Of course, Sanger always touts itself as not sponsoring riders so they don't have to pass that cost along to their customers... ???

NICKYPOO, I think that surf sponsorships are few and far between because it's a sport that's still in its infancy. You don't really have tour (or several tours) as is the case with wakeboarding. It's also a sport that's difficult to watch from a spectator perspective.
Not trying to knock the sport, we sure do our fair share of surfing. Also, you pretty much need an inboard to do it and that really limits the market. I think once it gains broader acceptance, you'll get more boat companies involved.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

From my perspective, if I were Tige, I would get that kid on lock down and keep him around. Wakesurfing's growth has become exponential and regardless of lack of tours or national events, everyone is doing it and it has become one of the first questions new boat buyers ask, "How's the surf wake?" If Tige has gone so far as to produce a video for the web site about the surf wake as well as the whole platform issue then it is obviously a major concern to Tige that their boats surf well. I'm just saying, putting James on that wake for the general public to see would turn a lot of heads.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
