Uh, not trying to be a know-it-all but, nondirectional? They look pretty directional to me. They wrong direction that is.

Actually, some bass waves would be cool.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Nick, it's just paint/art - James wanted them on the tail, I don't think there is a right and wrong direction was my point...but then again he's 17!

Looking good but reminds me of the days when I painted helicopters, scary

Anyways thinking of triing a vacum bag board. Did you build your own pump or buy one?

                          Thanks SD

                            Hey Bob,

Did you paint Helicopters in the armed forces or as a civilian? I had a client that was a chopper pilot in the reserves and he used to always say that an engine failure in one of them would ruin your day.

I purchased my setup from ACP, it's equipped with a vacuum switch and catch can. Theoretically you can build one from an old refrigerator compressor, or a vacuum cleaner. I like the ability to adjust the HG from 8 inches up to 20 depending upon what I am working on.

It opens up a LOT of fabrication variables, like the composite sandwich, but also like the folks at Coil Surfboards, where they are using 2 to 3 times the fiberglass as an old polyu/polye board, but very little resin and they get these really "twangy" boards .

As a civilian Rocky Mt Helicopters. I like the idea of building one It must be the tinkerer in me. I really want to do a compsand this off season.

The compsand construction is great fun. It opens so much in terms of construction options...I'm not convinced that any of the boards are better, but it sure gets you thinking!
