I'd say "art" is a pretty loose term on this one. Looks more like liver disease. Great idea though.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

LOL! Mr. Walker, I'm sorry to inform you that have pancreatic cancer. If you look on this image the dark blotches are an advanced stage of lymphomia. The only cure is high doses of wakesurfing each weekend until there is snow in the mountains.

It'll surf here in Tejas. You and your boards are always welcome here. I'd go where the board snobs aren't

Nice Surfdad!!! How cool is that to build your own board. Next time though I'd keep the spray can away from the lil ones.

Had 3" in the yard last Fri. Gone by 6 PM but it got me break out the Gnu in anticipation.

                  Sorry, off topic.

                  Where do ride Surfdad?

Sugarbowl mostly. It's a straight shot up I-80 and the first resort from our side. Early in the season we have been known to ride Boreal, but I swear I'll deny having said that! If I'm cashed up, which is once, maybe twice a year, Squaw.

I had the opportunity to ride Vail for the first time last year. That was incredible. Love the snow and the size of the resort!

Nice. Sugarbowl is a nice joint. Boreal? Ever ride Homewood?

Homewood has the best view of Tahoe...we've been there only once, we'll have to hit that again.

Took this build out today. Very responsive and super light. I stuck my buddy Dennis on it, and his 250 pounds+ didn't cause it to dent. I'm a little worried that the top deck is causing an unbalanced load and that ALL of that is being transferred to the bottom. The next build will be skinned top and bottom.

How sick am I?! I could have dest the deck strength by putting it on two paint cans but instead I put it on sawhorses, I guess that would insure breaking my NECK and the board if it snapped!

Interesting that you were able to build that thing that strong.

Look me up next time you roll over to Homewood. I spend most of my snowboard money there.

Regarding your surfing; I see you've taken a particular liking to the Dark Side. Seems every time I see you riding, your riding BackStar.

da.bell I got up there and thought to myself - this is STUPID! I can imagine that I could break it if I jumped on it enough. I was able to walk on it a bit, if not actually jump.

I learned something with that though. The strength of the object isn't grounded in stiffness. It's the ability of the board to flex that gives it the strength to hold me up. That's also what will doom this board, I do beliefe. There is such an imbalance between the top and bottom, that all of the stress is being transferred to the bottom.

Hey Nick - my buddy Dennis and his daughter are both from the darkside. We typically ride that side first, then the regular. I think that it's mostly a matter of the picture taker not wanting to take any more later in the day. It's funny, we ALWAYS ride the darkside first in the morning when it's 50 degree air temps. Guests first, you know!

Are we going to get snow this year? I'll be sure to give you a shout when we head up that way.
