I grew up battling the congestion at Castaic lake. It is legendary. I learned to drive pulling my dad through at 12 yrs old because my mom said she would divorce him if he made her drive in that again. Talk about trial by fire.

I remember driving up to the lake and passing the lower lagoon, usually glassy with a couple of kayaks on it or something. Wondering how cool it would be to tear it up on that.

Its about a 10 hour drive for me, but I think I have to be there, to get on the lagoon.

Hey Ragboy, I didn't realize that you were from that area, as a child. I really appreciate you and the family making that long trip down south.

I grew up in Simi Valley, it was about a 40 min drive from Castaic.
