    need some advice

does this wake look good to you?
i think it needs a tad more length and less curl.

    what do you guys suggest?

we just added some more weight than usual so its not exactly mastered.
455+ bag in the rear corner w/ about 200lbs in sand bags...350+ in ski locker.
400+ on side seat and 400 on back seat and the front bow sac full..how ever much that is....

any advice? its just not like the good wakes i see out there.
should i use less weight and slowly add more?

plus we are trying out our new shredstixx board. ;P

so not much freeriding until i learn the board more..much different animal.
dont mind the video...like i said. plus some rough wake from other boats passing by.

dunno why they are sideways =/

speed like 12-13. taps in the 5-6 range.

The wake doesn't look bad, one question is why so fast. May you have to with a Z1, but with my 01 21v I run right at 10.5 maybe 11 tops. If I hit 12 or my wake gets really small and hard to stay with the boat? Just a thought maybe slower down a tad and see what it looks like. What is your weight?

Try slowing down a bit. We usually ride between 9.5 and 11 MPH. Also, maybe a little less weight in the bow.

after watching the video I think I would slow it down to 10.5 and adjust the taps accordingly. But agian if may be a little differnt on a Z1 but I would try that. I hope that helps. Good luck.

What's the water depth, wake just doesn't represent the 2,100#'s of ballast you have

Although I found that the Z1 likes to surf faster then my 22Ve, I think 13 may be a little too fast. The funny thing is, when asking for ballast/wake help, you cant ballpark the speed, cause even a small .5mph change will have an impact on the wake shape, size, and length. Try TAPS at 4, and 11.5, but no more then 12.5. Do you have Speed Set, if not, consider adding it.

Bow sac holds around 300#'s. This brings me to another ??? Do you have factory ballast, if so, there's another 280#'s on the surf side I guess you had filled.

The Z1 definitely responds well to weight in the bow

Was there any weight on the starboard side? If no, I would put some over there to get ride of that lip on top of the wake.

we usually go slower. but i wanted to test a longer wave. its just short and tall for a slow speed.

ya the wave doesnt make sense for how much weight is in there.
the bow sac is an integrated one. not the top one. sorry for not clarifying.

no there really isnt any weight on the other side.

soo do you recommend taking out some bow weight or adding more? and/or adding weight on the other side? or taking out some rear weight? or moving some weight more center and onto the floor? do you want the water stream to be more straight out the back or more angled sideways?

we have messed with multiple speeds and tap settings.

no stock ballast installed. its all bags.

I'd try 200 lbs in the opposite locker and see what happens. More weight in the bow will definitely longer in length but could also reduce the height of the wake also. Experimentation is your friend.

How deep is your waterway? There are a few spots on our river where it gets shallow and the wake shrinks to half the size. Water depth plays a big part in surfing.
