One of the greatest benefits to this discussion board (IMO) is being able to meet, either personally or otherwise, many great people from all over the country.
This last Thursday we, Myself, my Son, Daughter, Daughter-in-law, and future Son-in-law, were able to spend the better part of a day on New Hogan reservoir surfing with Surfdad and his family.
Meeting Surfdad was a treat, as we all know how well respected he is on this board. I have met many great people from this board and Surfdad is right up there with the best of them. He was very hospitable and helpful. He gave all of us pointers on how to complete a 360, (and yes we are still trying to consistently complete it).
As you all know, James really rocks at wakesurfing, even more than videos or pictures can justify. He is a rock solid young man, very well grounded, not big headed or anything like that, very humble and unassuming.
Judy (Mrs. Surfdad, or Surfmom if you will) is equally enjoyable and was very welcoming to all of us. She even pulled out the Mom trump card when I was trying to pull our surfers out of the water, she would demand that they give it one more try.
Surfdad and Judy are excellent surfers as well as James, as a matter of fact, I could easily say that James is a "chip off the old block", not that surfdad is old or anything like that, you know what I mean.
We had a video camera and my Canon XTI rolling all the time that they were in the water. My son has the video so I can't post that, but I have the pictures and so as a tribute to the Surfdad family, and also as a huge THANK YOU. Here are some pics of our time on the water with them.
