    22V Monster Surf Wake!

I thought I would post a couple of picture of my buddy Keith's surfwake on his 22V.. This wake definately dialed in! Hopefully he will see this and post the details on his setup! It is a really long wake too which allows us to ride farther back from the boat!

I'd say your boy has it really dialed in!

Definitely get the details, inquiring minds want to know!

Hey guys I'll fill you in, I got the 22v about a year ago and after much reading here on the board and tips from the dealer on how to weight I was never quite happy on the wave, it was always good with the different attempts but I always thought it could be more. My last boat 21v we'd sink it until the corner of the rubrail at the back of the boat touched the water and while surfing the rail all the way up to the rear tower foot was cutting the water.
The hull on the 22v doesn't sink like the older hull!
I'll keep out all the attempts and give the lowdown on the wave you see in the pics. In the pics only two adults and a 8 yr old are in the boat it's all ballast! All Fly high Bags. 4 BAGS.
Speed and TAPS: 12-12.5 and Taps on 4-5 ( sometimes upto 6 as fuel goes away)
Front of the boat: integrated bow sac under seats and in the walkway under the bow cusion is a tube sac. the tube sac is 370# I've heard conflicting guesstimates on the I.B.S 400-800#

Rear of the boat: Drivers side, under rear seat but not actually visible in the rear locker 100# lead brick (carpeted like the old 'core' option) 20x3x3)
Passenger side, 2 lead bricks 100# each along the outer edge of the boat,
(now here's where a Enzo sac would have worked better but was told not to)
use the Gravity Games Center sac it is 19x19x88 and 1180# and then put one V Drive sac on top of it to pretty much fill the whole rear locker. This sac was a tweak, it made the useable wave pocket about 2-4 feet longer.
I also tried sinking the drivers side to leverage the whole boat diagonally downward but no real change even up to 400#.
This wave pictured is again with no real people weight (2 including driver)and there is no replacement like people ballast.

As for the wave: the Straightline wakesurf line and handle is at full length not one off as usual. The wave is larger in the middle as it comes away and rises from the boat, normally the peak is hip high, it doesn't rise immediatly like on the 21v and on rear weight only setups I've ridden. Rideable area is your normal few feet off rear platform to about 12-14+ with push at the rear still. This is useing a Phase 5 skim style board, a Tsunami is slightly shorter in towards the boat, and useing a Shoreline board you stay in the dead middle for enough drive. Next time Scott and I will take more pics from different views. Also bigger wave and better rideing than 24 SSV.
I'll scan and attach a quick explanation picture for questions.
                later Keith

PS. anyone with a LAST 21v HULL looking for tips on a great wakeboard wake? Tweaked until useing this setup.
1-2 sacs in the front (whole walkway to just even the drivers seat)equalling 1000-1100#
rear factory "riders" sacs good enough 270-300# a side in the rear lockers
                Taps 4-7 depending on passengers
Rode this wake the last 4 of 7 years on that boat......HUGE WAKE for that hull!
