West Coast Tige Reunion/ Ride for a cure

We went to the reunion and gave some surf instructional/demo rides today. Capitol watersports let us use a 22Ve for the day.

Driving up Auburn looked like it was the inside of a bbq. Jerry Price of Shred Stixx sent up a Jamako for folks to demo and the 22Ve we got to surf behind.

The 22Ve produces a pretty good wake.

Dennis riding backside - this gives a good idea of the wake.

great pics, looks like you guys have your surf wake really dialed. how much weight do you gus use??

gee that new epic boat has an ugly shaped hull. does it look any better in the flesh?? its supposed to have a massive wake isnt it?

                    Hey Tigeinaus,

That was the first time we had surfed the 22Ve, so I'd say it was far from dialed, we just took what I use on our 23V and applied it here, with a little less weight. I'm guessing that was around 1,000 pounds. We used lead and water.

That Epic seems to be the tallest boat in regards to freeboard. We tried to surf it a few years back and it's a miserable wake. The corners are so straight that it just digs into the water and throws a lip right in the face - the only way to eliminate that is by turning a circle. James wakeboarded it that same day and said the wake was HUGE and HARD - so they definately have that done well.

Here's what we saw when the brought the first 22 Ve to town 3 years ago:

No ballast, just the big boys on the back. It does produce a pretty good wake.

Yep, that's a decent wake with just ballast boys We took some of the dealer folks out for a demo and they were saying the rumor is that the Z1 is reportedly the Tige that generates the best surf wake.

I concur.......I was able to surf the Z1 with my 200# phat arse on a Tsunami 4.9 with no ballast, just my sun taking pics and wife driving.

Thank you so much for getting out to the event surfdad, James (aka surfboy ), and Dennis Horton. The Walker Project board that was raffled off was sic... Just sic...

Side note: I wish I had some time to get a few rides with you guys... The schedule and me being busy with watching everything that was going on was a little overwhelming for me. But, I had fun.

Some awesome shots as usual! What is the latest update on your 23V? Are getting a new engine, getting a new boat?
