    Longboarding - pics

We borrowed a friends 9' board for the weekend. It was a blast. It is amazing how far back in the wake you could get and still recover. We had a hard time getting the wake to be long and clean (no foam)... but it didn't really seam to matter with the 9 footer. They scarry part is when you get real far back and shuffle foward on the board... you start to gain some real speed and feel like you are going to end up in the bow of the boat. There were definitely some panic moments trying to shuffle the feet back to the back of the board. Sometimes the only option was to drop anchor...

That looks fun. I think I need to take one of my old surfboards out to the lake and give it a try. Only question is how to keep the wax out of the boat when it is 105f and the water is 84????
Nice pics, you have me motivated.

Really cool pictures, thanks for sharing it.

It would be nice to surf with another in the board, it is HUGE!

I surf with my daughter but it is usually pretty tight to have both of us on a small board.

the board went straight from the bag to the water, then from the water straight to the bag. When we were switching out riders we would splash water on the baord to keep the wax somewhat firm. Oregon ocean (cold) wax isn't best suited for 70* water and 90* air... but it got the job done.

Very nice, but you're surfing on the wrong side of the wake

Longboarding is fun. My buddy Dennis rides goofy and on the bottom of his board is a huge picture of the Disney Cartoon Character Goofy and the caption reads: "Come over to the darkside, we have candy"
