Longboard

I have a buddy who has a 9' board. We want to try to do some longboarding. Any suggestions on how to set up the boat for that? More weight up front? More list? Faster? I assume we want the pocket to be as long as possible.
Surfdad - I think you have said in the past that it is tricky setting up a boat for longboarding... enlighten me.

Surfdad posted some pix a wile back of them on a long board. I think they had to go faster to make the pocket longer 13-14mph.

Longboarding is a blast. You just want to go faster - it only becomes tricky if you want to try and nose ride (front 24" of the board) Let off some ballast so that you can get up to slightly faster speeds. 12-14 mph will be easy with that 9 foot'er, the pocket will seem like it's miles long. Be sure to post up pictures! It is a great time.
