    Almost back to 100%

We were a little light on ballast, but it was good to get back on the water - can you see the smoke in the air here in Norcal?

Is Jame's new board heavier than the last model? Looks like he didn't miss a step.

Hey da.bell this board is about 1/2 pound lighter than any of his prior boards. I believe that it is right at 5 pounds with traction and fins.

Samw, the aerial is very very very similar to ollie'ing a skateboard. James fades back to the back of the pocket and then pumps about 2 to 3 times heading for the "sharpest" part of the lip. You need the board to release from the wake and the lip will help boot you up. Now keep in mind that James' board is built specifically for this.

James then does a huge bottom turn that will take him up to the lip. Once the nose is over the lip it's an ollie. Bring your front foot up, while pushing down on the tail. The height of the air is mostly detremined by how high your front foot gets. At the peak, pull your rear leg up and slightly push down in the front of the board - this will raise the tail up to meet your rear foot.

It's not uncommon for James to have one or both feet completely off his board at times - so landing is lots of balance and control.

You bet Samw, I'll try and find some sequence shots to post up so you get a decent visual, but no promises The design is ours. The blank was made up by WNC foam, I also have a few in process at Warvel Surfcores and Mike Walker did computer work and the cutting at a CNC machine he has access to and the paint on the rails. Thanks for the compliment.

Hey loud - no I didn't make that board. The design, including fin placement, outline and tail shape, the stringer material, thickness and placement and the rail material are our design, you may have seen the prototypes we've been working on. I had WNC foam create the blank from our specs and then Mike at TWP took our specs and made the cut file in his CAD program. He stores the DXF and G-code files. Mike has access to a CNC machine and those folks cut the blank. Mike then does the finish sanding, painted the rails to hide the "secret sauce" and then sent it out for glassing.

                    Hey Hoopykat,

We typically always ride at New Hogan Res...which is where those pictures were taken.
