A few pictures from the TWC

We were in TX this past weekend for the Texas Wakesurf Championship. The wake was a bit challenging - not much lip, and not very tall, but it was a GREAT contest overall. Tons of folks and activities. I swiped a few pictures of James. Mostly riding and one backflip at the end of his run

Cool pictures. I was on that same river this past weekend, just further up North though.

Some of the locals where complaining about that event being hosted where its at.

Hey Matt, the water was so hot! It was weird you would be sweating in the 50% humidity and jump in the water to find it was 80 degrees! I hadn't heard anything about the locals on the Brazos. Is that a local hot spot? We didn't see much in the way of boat traffic - some, but not what I am used to here in Cali.

Good eye da.bell. We typically start each season with a fresh board, but we've done some incremental stuff on the basic design for James. Messing with perimeter stringers and molded high density foam rails.

Now I have to ask. Where is the Tige sticker?

I like the color of the board that he is using.

Looks like James might be growing since the boat is bigger also.

Great Pictures. Was that a Centurion he was surfing behind?

80 seemed cool, I was reading 88 - 90 on my temp gauge! LOL! It is a local hot spot, a lot of people try to keep this as a "secret" but its near impossible with the grow of the sport and not to mention how many articles and videos this place has garnered. I have friends who live/or have a place on the river and surfing is frowned upon there because the river always generates glassy conditions. Anyway...regardless of what sport someone is doing (other than tubing) I love this place, enough butter to share for everyone!

Tige doesn't sponsor James anymore - not really sure what happened, probably just fell through the cracks...so no Tige Sticker.

Yeah EKS, the folks at Wakeoutlaws.com put the contest on and they have two Enzo 240's - they had KILLER wraps done on them. The 24 foot Enzo is a big boat but isn't as consistent as the smaller 230, IMO. I'm not really sure what was up with the wakes at this contest. For those in the know, the Enzo has a NASTY secondary lip, which typically requires that you run it at 12+ mph and then face smooths out. I don't think they were running that fast and what happens is the "effective" height of the wake is diminished about in half, plus it doesn't provide a clean lip.

It was NOT an AWFUL wake, just not as good as I've seen elsewhere. I've highlighted the lip issue that is comon with an Enzo.

                          what is "Empulse"?
so... is the flip something we bight see James landing in the next year or so? Or is it just a dismount?

Is WP going to start making that board as part of there lineup?

oh yeah... james is my hero! Does he want to come to Lake Powell with our family for a week Aug 16-24 (OK, you & Judy can come too)? I'll buy his food & gas, and he can teach me a tree (funny) and airs!

Wow, I never notice that. I guess that bump would make it hard to do some of the tricks.

                              Thanks for the pictures!
