We got about 4 hours on it yesterday, the first few are the worst - not exceeding 2,000 rp for the first hour meant we did on average about 4 mph I think that max speed was something like 7.8 mph
da.bell, the damage was caused by a plastic bag getting sucked up into the raw water intake, the insurance company deemed it an insurable event. It completely starved the engine of water. Someone told me that this was most likely why the alarm didn't sound, that the sensors literally don't work in air. Anyway...we got some hours on it yesterday.

Not an entire engine, a long block and TRUST me the insurance company was all over that engine when it got yanked out. They reviewed all my service records for the last 4 years, including oil changes!!!! Luckily, I have always taken it to the mechanic for the oil change and he had the records on site. Also, the winterization, chaning the impellor twice a year, etc. They were LOOKING for a reason to deny the claim. AND the adjuster hung over the engine as they yanked the impellor housing to find bits of the plastic bag and the destroyed impellor.
