Finally got in the first set of the year!

It has been killing me that I haven't been able to get out yet but we finally made it out yesterday!!! In the Denver area it was 70 and the wind was blowing 25~40 mph and it was looking like we weren't going to make it out yesterday. We saw that Boyd Lake 35 miles north of us looked to be decent so we decided to chance it. We got there and it was perfect! It was 74 degrees, no wind, noone on the lake and the water temp was 66 degrees.

We filled up the sacs, 2 V-drive sacs and 2 Masterline 250 pounders and attempted to get our surfing wake back in shape since we haven't been out since the 1st week in September. After a little shifting of the sacs, we finally got it decent enough to just get going before the weather moved in, we'll get it fully dialed next time we're out. The water was a little chilly but it didn't really matter to me since all I wanted to do was get back in for my first set! I had a pretty good and was surprised that I remembered as much as I did. Now I can't wait to go out again!

We ordered an Inland Yellow Loogey 2 weeks ago off of Boarders Best Buy but it still hasn't arrived, hopefully today or tomorrow.

    That is all!

Timmy - I am suprised you found some decent weather yesterday. I am in Parker, and planned on hitting the lake, but we woke up and "YUCK!!". And it didn't get much nicer from there.

I'm glad things worked out for you.

Believe me, it was a total gamble! We wound up getting blown around pretty good trying to leave the lake, I was inches from tearing up the prop because of the wind and other boat traffic. My depth gauge read 2.8 ft at one point and I was sweating bullets trying to maintain some sort of control. We didn't get rained on up this way though.
