Our 1st surfing sess. Have pics!

Got to use my christmas present for the first time today. It was our first time surfing behind our tige'. The wake was monster, had 5 people in the boat all on the right towards the back, rear port ballast tank full, two more 250lb fat sacs in rear locker & port side seat. I don't think the pics really do the wake juctice but we did get some cool shots. Check it out.

Nice pics but the water sure is black.

Try some weight in the bow for a linger wake. I do about 2000# on the port side with or without peeps brings it down to the rub rail for awesome long wake.

Here is another one to add. I had to crop it down in size because it was too lage and the forum wouldn't let me post it. So some of the wave is gone but you will get the idea.

You know, you can use photobucket to upload your pics and then just use the image link to show them in full size.

Yes it is, but it's all we got unless you go out in the chesapeake bay. That is the intra coastal waterway, it is brackish water and swampy in a lot of areas. Kind of like riding around in Coca Cola..........................

Last year when we were out we saw a porpoise swimming around in the waterway. That was pretty cool.

Everyone also taught me to use a specialized handle for surfing. There have been a lot of injuries due to using a standard ski/wakeboard handle. Just thought I would pass it along. Wake looks good to me.

Yeah we are aware of it (saftey) and plan to get a rope specific for surfing. The one that just has a thick knotted area to hold on to. We had something better than this handle, but we discovered that the wife threw it away just as we were loading everything in the boat, so we quickly cut out a section of a slalom line and added a handle so we good get on the water.

Thanks for the advice, gonna go out and hit it again here in an hour or so.

That is what happens when you allow the wife into the boat. Just don't let Stacy throw away anything else like beer, boards, ropes, lifejackets, ...

You guys are making me jealous about riding already. Weather here in Oregon is just not cooperating yet, just looked at the extended forecast, and the next 15 days still in the upper 50's lower 60's (except for 1 or 2 days in the mid 60's.
I am getting everything ready, just came in from sanding and polyurethaning the 2 Trick Boardz I got last week. They should be ready by next weekend.

By the way, looking good on the dark water.

We have found that the Liquid Force wakesurf rope is really good. It has a small T-bar, and then is knotted with a thick mainline.

                      Later,

                      Steve

Let's hope not... If she is, you will find yourself selling your boat soon.
