I'm pretty sure Surfdad will have an answer...
I haven't been surfing long enough to have to reglue traction.

Actually, you can go to any surf shop and get traction pads.

Which 3M glue did you use? Super 90 and 77 are the most common and 90 is HEAT resistant - which you'd need for summer time. You'll want to be sure that both the pad and the board have been cleaned - I'd used acetone. The residual "sticky" will prevent the new glue from adhering. If THAT didn't work, you have two other options. One is plain old contact cement. Two coats on the pad and one on the board. The other is 3M Marine adhesive 5200 THAT STUFF will stick anything together permanently.

I've done maybe 50 pads using super 90 so I'm surprized that the spray glue didn't work, if you've completely removed all of the residual glue - OH, you can over-apply the glue, it needs just a good coat not a THICK layer. It also needs pressure to adhere it well - something that would cover the entire surface and then weight distributed across the whole thing. Keep me posted ok? I wonder if there is something on that board that is unique to the manufacturing process.
