    Nice Surfdad!!!!

I was getting the bug this weekend to get out, it almost hit 80 on Saturday, but the River has got to be about 55 still. I did manage to completely clean out the boat, and get it ready for the first session of the season.

BTW: Jeff, any opinion of the Trick Boardz changing from wood to glass? I finally ordered the Large Surf Skate, and then was notified they are changing, and won't be available for another month or so.

      Hey Sag,

The water temps here were a bit chilly, down around 65 or so, but we had incredible high air temps - in the 90's! That first splash was a shocker, but once you got out of the water it was nice.

That's funny you should ask about the Trick Board. Larry was kind to let us test one of his surf skates. I believe it's a large, not sure. James did a few shuv's on it for Larry and we sent him pictures and video.

I dusted it off and we used it yesterday. I'm trying to find a board for Judy that isn't oversize, she's so petite she doesn't need much board. I didn't get any pictures of Judy on the board, but there was the most interesting sequence. The trick board in 'glass is the single fastest accelerating board that I've ridden. What is interesting is that the speed down-the-line - parallel with the boat is impressive, but you can generate even more speed when following the wake. So towards the back of the wake where it curves out away from center, if you ride the board so it looks like your butt is pointed toward the boat - that thing HAULS. It was amazing.

I like the fiberglass. I have also built balsa skinned boards so wood was never an issue for me, but Larry was telling me that consumers misunderstood the wood construction and that prompted his consideration of foam and 'glass.

It's a bit of a challenge to ride - but it's got incredible acceleration and is a blast to ride.

This is the only picture I have on the Trick Board from yesterday. My buddy Dennis is - sheesh 265 pounds and while he isn't ripping it up on the board, he's able to stay with the wake. The board has acceleration and speed.
