I'm getting disgusted with some of the posts over on WW. It's a great place for the dissemination of info to a TON of folks, but...it feels like the majority of the content is becoming "buy mine!" I feel like I spend inordinant amounts of time gleaning spam from my inbox, only to have it emerge over on WW.

Your opinions, maybe I'm just too jaded these days. When the only content is "My board is GREAT buy it" does that irk you?

I think that I will start narrowing my posts down to TO.com or look for some Xanax

WW has a lot of bias information from people. I feel that they have done wrong on a few areas so I stay away from them more times than not. If you feel that there is too much, PM David (web site administrator) and I am he will take care of it but again, TO.com is the best place anyways.

There are too many of those "metal militia" types, or "rebel without a clue" if you know what I mean, on that board. Muddies it up.

Certain brands of products, attract like minded people, and I think Tigé and Tigeowners seems to fit that. I used to work at Budget Rent a Car, many, many moons ago. And I swear, BMW owners were all pretty similar, as compared to Mercedes owners, and Jaguar owners. It was very noticeable.

Those other brands of boats, that attract the people that buy for the status, are the type of people that can get real annoying. I don't think Tige attracts those types of people much. Its a more sensible, all around boat. IMHO.

I don't go there because so many of the posters are 14 y/o jagg-holes with nothing better to do than spew nonsensical garbage into otherwise meaningful conversations. There seems to be a few people on there who sound really well educated and respectful....just the bad seeds spoiling it for the majority.

do yourself a favor and ignore half the sh** you read on that site and you will be better off. it worked for me. i can only make it 5 maybe 10 minutes reading that funk they spew.

So true Ragboy. I've noticed the same sort of thing. The first time I met you, and your family was at a surfing contest, and I was admiring your boat. You happily walked up, introduced yourself, and the conversation was on. I think thats pretty typical of most Tige owners.

That's why I usually only hang out here. There's little value over on WW. WSR was pretty good but it seems like participation has dropped off pretty steeply.

What is WSR? My most recent gripe is the spam that is popping up. Greg knows that Jerry Price of Shred Stixx is a wealth of info and has years of development experience, but is very cautious to post because he respects the WW policy about no advertising. Then a wakesurf pro pops in and basically says MY BOARDS ARE THE BEST. No other content...they end up curtailing decent info from respectful folks and allow the littering of spam by non-respectful folks.

I should post up - Tax Return Prepartion, see me before 2/11! Just as useful as "buy my board because I'm a pro"

There are posters like those no matter where you like to read...our pinball newsgroup has the same type of BS there as well. Filter the idiots if possible, and the noise level drops considerably. And remember, don't let someone else piss you off by being an idiot...they're the problem, not you.

Da.bell, yeah...I guess that makes me uncomfortable...sort of like a thread police or nazi. I think that I'd just like to share some of my nonsense projects and not wade through spam...maybe that's the answer for me at WW - post my nonsense and ignore everything else.
