    doubles surfing

I was killing some time this afternoon and I ran across this on the Mastercraft site. Don't worry, I am not defecting, just wanted to see their 2008 graphics. Anyways, I saw this pic of two people surfing on each side of the wake on the X80 section. That is pretty sweet, has anyone tried that with their boat, or even seen anyone else do it? Would you need a boat the size of an X80 to pull that off?

No you could run doubles behind a tigé or probably anyboat you can surf behind.

The wake may not be as good tho, Sac the sides evenly.

Ok, so let's see one of you guys that surf all the time get a cool doubles surfing pic with your Tige! I will throw that challenge out there. (Tim, that would be a pretty sweet marketing pic behind your Wetsounds RZ4!) My annoying boat partners don't like to surf, so I rarely get the chance and I have to live vicasiouly through you guys. I am going to teach the wife to drive the boat this spring so we are not dependent on them to get our surf on.

Interesting picture, love the idea and all. I have the brochure at home as well because i looked at MC before buying my RZ4. Have to say that if you look closely the pic is obviously doctored unless there are 10 foot giants out there (remember that boat is 28 feet long). The boat also dosent seem to fit the wake.

What makes this work better on the X-80 is that it has 2 engines with counter-rotating props. It gives you an even wake on both sides.

I think MC doctors all of their Wakesurf display ads...there's one with Parks Bonifay that, IMO, is totally bogus - they shopped a rope out.

We've done doubles behind out Tige unweighted...it's fun, but not stellar.

Here's some double action from our side. You have to have a chase boat cause there is no turnin' around for ya when you fall!

I know the third pic goes against SurfDad's "real wakesurfing, not posing with a drink" but when you wrap up a day wakesurfing and then try to surf miles to cross a 30k some-odd acre lake without falling, it's some work!

This is actually the fastest, and hardest wakesurf run I'll ever have. The water is so much harder and painful then the soft wave of the little wakeboat waves we're all used to. Extremely difficult to keep strength to go the distance. Not Tige or any in the class so I suspect it's safe to post!

Hey Greg - will do, I am sure she sends it back! I've made it down here as I can pretty much fit wherever there is wakesurfing, or wakesurfing discussion going on

I need to finish my write up for this site, it's on a loong list of things to do but it was my experience and testing/tuning on an 08RZ4, I get some done and get distracted never finishing.

Funny how these threads get woken back up every so often. Nice pics Surfdad and Loc. I still say Tim needs to get his wetsounds boat rockin' a cool pic with two hots chicks riding doubles behind it!

Well I'm glad that I wasn't the only one thinking the MC pic was doctored... My family tends to think I overanalyze things (I guess it's the engineer in me). I was looking at the surfers vs how big the people in the boat are, and it looks way out of proportion.

Sounds like fun, I know my wife wants to try it, she rides dark side, while I ride "normal". We might have to give it a whirl this summer.
