I am sure ya'll have seen the pics of the new Wet Sounds RZ4. I have only had it in the water a few times and then had to head out to surf expo with it.
I want to know if anyone has found a good set up for surfing on this boat?
I have the factory ballast system plus two 350 locker sacs in the side for regualr surf. Plus the batteries in the back. 4 Kinteik batteries with 2 on each side. They weigh 70 pounds each. So another 140 pounds in each rear locker. With the 2 factory batteries in the facotry location.
So I figure we had the 225 plus 140 plus the factory batteries in the rear locker for around 400, plus 700 in the side locker plus 450 front sac and 7 people in it and could not get it to get sideways or produce a clean wave.
Next time out we put 750 in nose on seat without front tank filled. Factory tank filled and side sacs filled with another 750 on the seat. Got it sideways but still couldn't clean it up. So total around 2500 just in ballast plus 6 people.
We are going to take it out soon and bring a bunch of pop bags and different sacs to try to find the right locations etc..
Anyone with an RZ4 that has any input?
Thanks
Tim
