You didn't say what your TAPS is set at? Ours is best at 3-4.
Try this and then play around with diff speed/TAPS combos till you find what works.

Chptril is right on with the speed/TAPS/ballast recommendation. The only other thing I'll add is that you can make your wake's sweet spot longer by adding more weight to the front. Instead of adding the 200 to the locker in the back, try moving it into the ski locker under the seat. When we're surfing, I always have a 350 tube underneath my seats. Then, depending on how many people we have in the boat, we may throw another 350 on the seat above the tube and some additional weight in the back locker. Your rear tanks on the factory ballast is pretty far back, so you really need to add the weight forward of your engine to clear up your wash. TAPS can do some of it when you put it down (start at 7 and work your way down to 1), but if it doesn't do it all, you'll need to add some weight towards the front of your boat.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

A little balance pays off . . .
Too much weight in the back seems to wash the wake out especially in the new hull designs . . . you need to weight the entire boat to sink it to create the best wake . . . too much weight in the back and the platform cuts the top of your wake off and you lose the energy of the wake . . . sometimes, less is more, a small tilt toward the side you're surfing on and lower the speed . . . Oh MY a great wake to surf on . . . by the way, the 2001 21V has a great wake with no blast, one person driving at 9.5 miles per hour and a patient wife who likes to drive . . . Steve

haha ok i'm just to lazy to do correct punctuation haha. we use taps around 3-4 depending on the people we have with us. We empty the all the weight from the opposite side we surf on. I'm going to try and put like 200-300 up front with the ballast and then maybe a couple hundered in the back and see how that goes. This is what our wake has looked like here a few pictures. The first are with the stock ballast and with 200 extra pounds and 10 people or so.
