What do you guys think ?

Now that we all seem to be getting our surf wakes all dialed in, does anyone have any thoughts of what that weight transfer does, or how it affects the fluids in the motor / trany?
I'm by no means a mechanic, but doesn't it seem that if we have our boats half way submerged on one side, the trany fluid, and motor oil will not be exactly where its designed to be. Will this have any bad effects down the road?
Maybe I'm way off base and I'm asking a stupid question, but what do you guys think?

Thats a good point, I have no clue. However, how much is the most the boat is listed over, maybe 15-20º max? I would imagine in a boat, that would have to be within the allowable tolerance.

I've never had a problem on any boat with this issue. A boat is almost never level due to the wide variety of conditions and uses.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you're concerned about anything, I'd be worried about how much weight the boat can really handle w.r.t. wear and tear. I know a lot of guys who exceed the USCG weight sticker (maybe I'm one of them) and seem to suffer no ill effects.

Having said that, I did move my bilge pump to a different location so that it would remove all the water I take in through the blower vent when I surf.

Once the engine is running the fluids are being "fed" thru the motor parts, so I don't think it would effect it at all. It would be similiar in a truck when you are going up/down a steep hill, the fluids would tend to shift to the front or rear of the pans.
