I have a 2001 21V Limited, no balast I hope I can add some by next year. I just got it a week a go. So far I love the boat. But I am in the process of replacing the steering cable. I got it out by cutting the end off. But I am not sure how I am going to get it back in under the gas tank.

I hope you are planning to use the old steering cable to help snake the new cable beneath and around the gas tank. If not, you will need to get under the floor....

I pulled a small nylon rope through when I pulled the old cable out. So do you feed the cable from drivers area or the engine?

Either side should work out okay but don't force the line threw so you don't lose your snake line. Finesse the line threw there. Couldn't say one is better than the other but I am glad that you have something to guide that line.
