      Hey Bentone,

It depends on the construction. If your board is Poly U core and Polyester resin I have a ton of Ployester resin in my garage, so I just mix up a batch and coat the affected area. That would be a bit pricey for your one small area, but it does give the least noticeable repair. You can find Ployester Resin at TAP Plastics - just be sure to get the "Surfboard Clear" and catalyst, etc.

There is a product called Solarex, it's a UV activated ding repair for surfboards. That works really well and is easy to use. If you look online you can find it pretty easily.

Now, if the boards is EPS core with Epoxy then you have to use a 2 part epoxy. If you can find a 2 part CLEAR locally at a hardware store you're good. Most that I have found, cure yellowish. Othewise, you have to opt for something like West Products Epoxy.

Hey 247, actually we haven't taken the new boards out yet - traction hasn't arrived yet.

These boards are shaped a bit differently than the previous Bullets. We had Mike up to ride behind the boat and do a little filming and he told me:

"When going over the footage we shot, I noticed a couple things that
made me rethink the use of deep concave and its effect on the boards
          feel and/or performance."

"Concaves are used to create lift-however that lift is only fully
realized when the boards entire hull is flat against the water. When
watching the footage I noticed that very little time is spent with the
board flat to the water-rail to rail. Mostly it seems (to me at least)
that you are using the inside rail and maybe up to 8-9 inches of the
bottom of the boards hull from rail to center line."

          "By reducing the amount of concave my objectives are;
          1) Reduce the surface area in the "used" section that is running in the
water by minimizing the curved surface (obviously very slightly).
          2) By dropping the rocker at the tips by .15" but dropping the concave
depth too- I'm essentially off setting the changes but creating a more
          even flowing rocker.
          3) This more gradual curve rocker from nose to tail /should/ allow for
an increase in "roll" and in theory increase the boards ability to get
higher into the air due to more rocker being utilized."

We'll keep you posted on how the design changes affect the ride.

Well, we were disappointed with the new design. Normally we get our boards glassed light - a single layer of glass, but mike did 3 on top and two on the bottom. Needlessly to say the new design didn't perform as well as the old one.

Not that the new design is bad, just not as responsive as the old design. You can see the difference in height between the two boards in these aerial shots.
