I am a couple hours north, actually villa lagos is only 1 hour north for me. But I would be willing. I also don't have sacs for my 24Ve, but I tip at 375#, I should have a shirt that says "Ballast for food".
Are you Alvie's twin brother?

Surfdad;
How about hitting up the Berkeley Ski club in the Delta. They are looking for ways to attract more people into there diminishing club, and are looking to get more "Family Freindly" They have a GREAT ski dock set up, and some great areas to ride around their bouy course so not to disturb the Ski course. Ther's even spectator viewing from the levy rd.
What do you think??
I just got the email from INT, def going to Villa Logos and they said no wakesurfing this time. That is a real bummer. Is the reason that you can't make it up here again? Why aren't they having you come back? I was going to call Linda and ask what's up.
Jeff;
I know a few members at the club. In fact, I will be seeing them at the Town Council meeting tonight thats being held in Disco regarding the "Indian Slough No Pull Zone". I'll talk to them and see what type of responce I get. I'll keep you informed.

Good luck on the "Indian Slough No Pull Zone" event. I hope a lot of people show up and get this behind them.
Hey Ragboy, we'd go back. It's a time constraint thing. The original plan was that the second stop would be in Modesto and that the Wakeboarding and Wakesurfing would be run simultaneously, but in different portions of the lake.
The problem that was encountered was that the Modesto Res has no water, so...the INT folks decided to move THE wakeboarding component back to Villa Lagos. There is such growth in both wakeboarding and wakesurfing that it's become tough to get them both run within the available time. I'm not quite sure why INT decided to eliminate WAKESURFING completely, but that's how they made the time.
To their credit, the INT folks are making every effort to get us covered by insurance so that we can hold the event at Modesto, but it's still up in the air. I would have preferred that we were accomodated at villa lagos, even if in a reduced capacity with such short notice of this change.
I am in the process of getting things worked out with the WWA and the NWL for sanctioning so that we can continue to hold contests. Kit Stocks, Inland Surfer Team rider, is assisting with site location.
I know that we'll have at least one contest this summer, but when, where and how is still TBD
Tough situation, not sure that I agree with the proposed solution, but...what can be done?

Thanks, that makes more sense. I didn't realize it was time, and that you were going to do wb and ws at same time. Which is a bummer, cuz my kids want to compete in both.
On a side note, my daughter won that cybershapes board. We took it out yesterday, and had a lot of fun. It is MUCH more squirly and reminded me of my old Local Motion surfboard from back in the day. It took my kids a bit longer to get used to, being so squirly, but then my son was able to pump and shred when he couldn't on our Liquid Force Venture. As far as boards go, where do you place that Cybershapes board in performance compared to other wakesurf boards? Curious to know your opinion.
The Cybershapes is an interesting design. It's got a TON of rocker, so it's not good for larger folks, but for your kids it should be fine. It's a step above the popouts, but probably not as performnace oriented as say a Shred Stixx Piranha or XBC Grom, which are both below something like a Walzer or a Walker Project Bullet...so, I would say it's at the low end of intermediate.
