A few aerials from today. Walker Bullet with 4" futures, Composite X with 2 3/8" fins and finally the new Calibrated Lovett Pro Model. I'm guess that first picture is around 2 feet of air.

Hey 247, Nick and I were going to start a thread on fins and I think I dropped the ball, I have to find this article that describes how fins work.
In short, the Futures fins foil is flat on the inside and convex on the outside. When coupled with a slight amout of toe in, it causes lift in the tail and increased drive or down-the-line speed.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

I need a board with jet engines attached!
Sometimes a video is better for folks studying how to complete a trick. James on the WP Composite X 4.5

I personally have several favorites, depending upon what I am trying to accomplish that day At my age, the only type of big air that I'll get will require rolling down the windows afterwards I have a JaMako for situations where the wake is weak or I'm trying to teach someone. I have a Walker Fast 50 for just about all other contest situtaions. I can't really compete head-to-head with the youngsters, so I use the fat tail to make it LOOK like I am riding harder than I am The square tail throws a huge plume of water and from the judges vantage point it looks like I am shredding up a storm Jerry has me figured out but he's never judged me, so I'm golden
James has a rather unique style. His primary trick is the surface 3, he has 3 significat variations of that and also can land surface 7's and 10's. He can throw significant airs, but he's more of a technical rider than the brute force rider. The Walker Bullet design is more focused on 3's than air's. So for aerial or surfstyle riding that's his preference. When he wants to throw shuv's or 3 shuv's he has always preferred the Calibrated boards. Currently his preference is for the Lovett Pro model. James is probably the most well-rounded rider out there, he can ride both surf and skim and so his choices in boards tends to be those that blend the two styles best.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com
