speed question.

ok so i was looking at the lets see those wakes thread and noticed ragboys surf wake. he said he was going 9.6 and his looked super clean. for our wake to look as clean as that we have to be going about 11.5. am i doing somthing wrong? how fast do some of you like to go. does 11 seem fast. if we are going around 9 it just seems to washed out

Do what the boat wants. My speedo says 15 and always has. So I stopped asking.

Mine says 13.5 to get our wake clean... the fact is I don't think the speedometer is accurate at that low speed. You may want to check it against a GPS speedometer, that would probably be much more accurate. I just speed up until it looks good.

thats what i figured. b/c it feels comfortable out on the wake at that speed. but it gets so big and clean, its cool. and me being new to surfing its pretty cool to feel the height dif from the bottom to the top of the wave. when im on top it feels like im way up there

My Perfect pass says 11.2 when we surf and the wake is huge with a lot of weight. My cell phone seems to be covered with dirt all the time, but I just took this pic today. It tends to roll over about 15 feet back, but it is even a giant bunch of wash there. It is a little hard to get perspective, but you can sort of tell that this wave is above this little twirp's waist.
