I know, the progression is amazing, watching James do the 1080 was amazing, he basically rotated the 720 in one spot and then slowly drifted back in the final 3...a board transfer is a trick that involves two boards. The rider goes starts out with one under their arm and ride the other. Then they either toss one down and dive onto it like Jenn Sellers OR throw it down and jump onto it (like landing from an aerial) as Ryan did. They leave a loose board on the water for the chase boat to pick up.

Good lord, did you win your division or the Showcase Showdown? Score. Nice work Jeff.

What board did James ride in the skim div.?

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Wakesurfing Magazine was there, as well as MOB TV. Keep your eyes peeled for the next issue. I'm sure Mike will be publishing a bunch of pics of the compitition, and the party.
J.L. from M.O.B. was filming all weekend. I think he was having as much fun as anyone. Keep checking www.mobgroup.tv for some video.

It really was a great time overall. Lots of knowledgeable folks and Greg and I too I got a chance to talk to a number of manufacturers and we saw some boards that aren't quite ready for retail. It'll be interesting to see this years crop when they hit the market.

Hey Nick, I know...I must have $1,500 worth of product! James walked away with over $900 retail in boards...so for us it was $2,400 of prizes! Makes me want to practice more

James was on the staging boat with Jaime Lovett and had his choice of a 53" Telum or Jaime's Pro Model...he opted for the Lovett Pro Model. It was a bit long for him, but he aired it, did a number of shuv's and that killer 1080...which was so killer to watch.

Like Greg mentioned, J.L. was on the boat all day, so no doubt he got some footage. The course was too far away for my piddly camera so I don't really have any decent photo's of the action.

I was pretty damn close to buying that Lovett Pro. 5 bones though, yikes!

I'm gonna have to start heading to some of these comps. I'm bummed the AzWA event is this weekend instead of last, I would have been in town with a free day on Sunday. Maybe next year. I think I'll try for the Tulloch comp next year though.

You won't regret it. It was an absolute blast. All the Spring Break events were going on, and the resort really went out of their way to make things happen. A huge thanks to Andreas, and Bern for their hospitality.
I was on the fence about accually compiting, but Shred Stixx Jerry talked me into it, and I'm glad I did. i met so many surfers of all ages, and everyones more into the fun of surfing, and just hanging out. The competetive "Attitude" was'nt even present. It's more like a bunch of freinds playing "Top This". A very cool and fun weekend!

Thought it would be listed here: http://www.howtowakesurf.com/Trick_List.jsp but it is not.

                        Hey Tall,

A board involves riding 1 board and carrying another with you, then after you drop the rope and are free surfing you jump from the board you are riding on , ONTO the board you are carrying. It's pretty wild to watch. First introduced into competition at the worlds in '04 by Drew Danielo. Ryan Fair now does it and also Jennifer Sellers, although in her variation she DIVES onto the board she is carrying and then stands up.
