actually it was super easy. there was a pretty good sweet spot on the wake without any added weight. i went back out the next day with 150 in each rear locker and it was even better. in several of those pics we weren't using taps and none of them are from the day with additional weighting. getting up on that board is easier than a wakeskate then its just finding the spot of the wake that will propel you without using the handle. learning curve was next to nothing honestly. my dad is raving about this thing. i think i converted him to solely wakesurfing. and thanks again from all of us billspin. you are the man!

With all due respect, I was unaware that wakeboarding magazine could even SPELL wakesurfing. I can still remember the shot for their product guide - I think two years ago, and the rider has the rope in his hand! They SO don't get it.
Got pictures Bill? Would love to see the lineup. I used to be a big believer in the bouyancy component, untill you start watch folks on skimstyle boards. I'm not big on bouyancy any more, I tend to subscribe to the "wetted surface area" as being more important to ride quality.
Can't wait to see your boards be sure to post pics and especially folks riding them.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

here are two pics of the ascboards; I bought both of them and have become obsessed with wakesurfing because of them. The larger, black one, is called the fat boy and is perfect for beginners or those who weigh 200 plus. The smaller one, the cheapskate, is the expert and shreds, it is the perfect tool for the 360s shuvits and airs depending on the wake. The difference between these boards and the rest is that they are custom made specifically for wakesurfing using the right materials to give you that real surf feel.
If anyone lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and would like to demo them give me a shout. I also give private lessons. check out the other web pics showing how easy it is to ride these boards for minutes; I even drink a beer while doing shuv its.

How thick are your boards? They look like they might be a little hefty?Last edited by Dan and Christy; 06-07-2007, 12:47 PM.

These two postings are the first I have ever heard of them. The relatively wide tail is the way that Jerry Price has been designing his JaMako for a few years now. The concept of a semi-custom stick is how Walzer does their product line and the way that the surf industry has done it for years. I don't think anyone will like the wax for use as the front foot traction in their boat, as in the pictures, too messy in the heat...but getting a front traction pad is easy probably an option from these folks.
These posts are full of hype, but then we'd expect that in an advertisement.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com
