My buddy Dennis rides goofy foot, so we every outing we try and surf both sides of the boat. Personally, I try and surf frontside and backside on both wakes, although goofy frontside is really hard for me.
I haven't been out yet. I am still working on boat projects and got my custom fat sacs ordered. It is still dry suit season for us. I will post some pics as soon as I get out there.
I have the two captain's chairs so I ordered the same bag for both sides.
Here are a few pictures from this weekend. This is only my second time surfing my RZ2. The wake does have a wash in the middle of the face but it’s purely cosmetic andI havent tried adjusting the taps, speed or weight yet to get rid of it. The pocket itself is very easy to get in to. My brother in law was able to drop the rope on his second time to ever wakesurf.
On your RZ2 - the starboard side, while the face is foamy, it's like you point out it appears mostly cosmetic, but on the port side, that looks to be a step in the middle of the face. Do you have any other pictures of your RZ on the port side? You'll have to do us all a favor and keep us posted on how you finally end up weighting it.

Ya I noticed the port side did have a cleaner face to it.. I think the pictures of me were when we first got started and it doesn’t really portray how we dialed it in. I was the guinea pig since we had to figure out speed, TAPS and weight. My sister took the pictures and while she had more they don’t really show the wake very well since they were out of focus or the sun was behind the rider.
This is my set up, TAPS at 5, speed about 9.8 – 10mph. About 800ish in the rear, a few adults all on one side and a two small kids in the bow. The pocket is really easy to find just need to clean the face up.
I plan on trying different configurations and I will post up the optimal setup.
