    Hangin' ten, think it's possible?

In the ocean, a 15 second nose ride would be INCREDIBLE almost unheard of. Think it would be possible to hang ten behind the boat? The problem with a noserider behind the boat is that in order to keep the tail stuck down you have to create a TON of tail rocker and use giant fins or something like a turbofin that holds the tail down.

My goal for this summer is to create a noserider that I can hang 10 with behind the boat. Am I crazy? Ok, ok, ok...I already know the answer to that question. Let me rephrase that - think I can do it?

Some pictures of a 10'2" infinity from last summer.

Wow, your riding really far back Dad...And yes I think you could make a board like that...Surfdad-the mastermind behind all surfin' plans

Good luck with the board, hope to see another one of your well documented threads.

I know, it reaches from the bow back through the walk-thru and ends about a foot past the drivers seat In the picture where Dennis is surfing the starboard wake, we were going about 14 mph and I think we estimated the pocket length around 30+ feet. It was LLLOOOONNNGGGGGG.

Is that Jason Miller's boat? From Crystal Pierz? If it is, I surfed that boat at Lake Washington last July, we make the trip out to Minnesota from California every year. Met Jason for the first time summer, nice guy.

Yup thats him, I didn't meet him personaly but we swapped quite a few PM's on Wake Side Rides, Do you have one? He Seemed like a real nice guy to me he was going to sell me a surfer about 1 year ago but then I realized i have an I/O and that would pretty stupid to surf an I/O and put people lives in danger, I'll have to bum a ride off my bro, Brian.

We have '03 Tige 23V. The Enzo is a nice boat. but I found it to be incredibly sensitive to weight placement. The hull has a significant V, so even 200 pounds moved can affect the wake, adversely. If you never change the number of people and weight you have on the boat, the Enzo throws a killer surf wake. I hope you get some surf time soon.

How do you weigh down you 23v? Yea I really want to try also, Dose a 2006 Moomba Gravity Games/XLV throw a nice wake, I have some friends who ride that and its pretty nice from what I hear, I probably get a ride on that this summer, heres what the wake looks like, it is surfable?...lol

We have a custom sac for our 23V that fills the entire port side from the rear storage up under the side bench seat - I need to recalculate the theoretical max weight...I think it's around 1500 pounds, but someone told me it should be closer to 1800 pounds.

We rode the moomba in FL last year. It throws a pretty good wake, but seemed a little steep in the configuration we rode. I think it could have used a few pounds in the opposing locker to knock the lip off and mellowthe transition.

What do you mean transition? How would you set up a 200 21i for surfing? I like the wake w/o ballast but would like to know what it would be like w/ ballast, any suggetsions?

The transition is that part of the wake where the flats go up to create the face of the wake. A nice smooth transition - one that is about as wide as it is tall allows for smoothing surfing, surface 3's don't catch the leading edge and you can pump up the face for aerials.

This is our Tige...the red circle is the transition.

Compare the above picture with this picture of the new Epic. The Epic is the KING of ugly transitions and a too steep wake. The problem with the Epic is that the ballast allows you to over fill it...folks would only fill maybe 3/8's to 1/2 of the ballast it would be much better, but not as tall.

If you compare the two pictures you can see the Tige throws about the same size wake, but with a much smoother and effective transition. Doing any trick on the Epic and an overweighted Moomba makes you feel like you're dropping out of the sky

I not sure which boat you're referring to. If it's a Tige 21i the king of that weighting is Larry Mann of Trick Boardz and Fresh Air Exhaust, I'm sure that he can give you details.
