Yea a tige 21i but the Epic is tall and and it would be like dropping in a hlf pipe at a skatepark and your 23v looks good for flat tricks.

Hangin' ten, think it's possible?

Before I forget. I think that Nickypoo has an inboard, I'm sure that he has a good setup too. That board where James is throwing a Shuv is a Walzer. I think our Tige is pretty good for aerials also. The steep transition on the Epic makes it really hard to gain speed up off the lip.Attached FilesBuy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

I see what you mean about transitions
BTW, I was amazed by the 22Ve prototype they showed at the 2005 owners reunion here in Austin. We had no ballast in the boat and here's a picture of my son (surfing for the first time). He was 5'2" at the time.
Here he is again last summer, except now he's almost 5'5". We're in my boat this time. I learned a lot from Surfdad's posts on weighting the boat, but I was having a hard time getting the wake dialed in because it was just the 3 of us.

It's pretty cool because it keeps your arm totally dry and you can wear it for about 45 minutes before you have to take a break.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

Back to hangin' 10
Anything is possible! I'm thinking Turbo fin. Isn't that cheating though? Nah! It's just like art, there is no cheating.
Didn't you guys have some issues with the tail of Dennis's Infinity hanging up in the wash at the back of the pocket?
Wannabe- We run a very simple set up in my 22i. One locker sack across the trunk and everybody to one side, Taps @ 6-7, depending on people. It really doesn't take much to get a nice surf wake out of these little old D-Drives. I also have a locker sack for the front walkway, but everyone really seams to like the wake without it. The boat itself performs much better with the walkway sack about half full. It keeps the prop from vetilating adds a bit of length to the pocket, but it starts knocking down the height real quick. It also alows me to run the Taps to 8. It is however much nicer in the boat without a half full sack sloshing around in the walk way. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Hey Nick, no such thing as cheating in noseriding! You've got a good memory on Denni's infinity...what happened was that board had a fairly shallow fin - maybe 5 inshes or so. When we'd work up to the nose, the tail would pop out of the water!!!!! Once the fin was loose, it was totally out-of-control. The board would gradually drift sideways and with the rotation you couldn't get back towards the tail quickly enough. It was very weird.
I've talked with the folks at Infinity and they are recommending SEVERAL (not 1 but SEVERAL Oh my!) winged fins to keep the tail down.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com

Hey Nick,
That's what I was thinking - I'd have to bring an oar with me to keep up with the boat The guys at Infinity assert (again, notice I am assigning BLAME to them! ) the winged fins create SOME lift and SOME drag, the two forces counteracting such that...there is little net affect on the speed, BUT when you are up on the nose the wing portion holds the fin down. I'm not sure I buy into that...now if they have any magic snake oil, I might be interested.
I finally just went over to Jerry Price at Shred Stixx and asked him to make me up a noserider. His design is more traditional and I guess old-school. It will be in the 8'6" range with some wild concaves. I'll post pictures when I get the final stixx Maybe I can call it a BIG STIXX?
I think that we'll be able to reach the nose. Probably not for longer than just getting a picture, but...that's probably all I want anyway.
In the picture above of Dennis on the 10'2" Infinity, we estimated the pocket length at 30 feet, but in reviewing...I swear it's closer to 40 feet. If I set the board up, run to the nose, I think that I can get maybe 10 seconds on the nose before SLAMMING into the swim deck. OR not.Buy my kid's board! http://www.flyboywakesurf.com
