    Nick,

    Nice looking board.
What do you do for grip? Wax, Gator grip.
What is the max capacity in LBS. for the board?
I know there are some max capacity bro's out there.
Tequilasuns Avatar is definately at his max capacity.

As of yet, I have no grip. I want a full traction pad for it and that is something Sean (Walzer) doesn't have for them at the moment. I'm basically just starting my seach for a one piece now. The Gator Grip is one solution, but one hell of an ugly one. You can get various pieces that you can piece together to cover the entire deck, but once again, not what I'm looking for.

I belive the 54" Walzer is rated for 200 lbs., but that is all relative. I have a Phase 5 Icon and it is tiny. It's rated up to 160 or something like that. I'm 185 and with one 500 lb sac in the trunk and a few fat friends, I can ride it no problem. Well, it is a bit of work and I end pumping the chit out of it, but I can get it going and keep it going.

I heard that Jeff Page at Inland Surfer was selling EVA Foam traction in bulk. You might be able to get what you need from them. I'd put a kick pad on it and then cut the EVA out from around it. I like the Xtrack pads, easy to attach and a ton of different patterns.

Dude, that is one sweeeeet board! I like the colors and design, it's like water in motion. Man, it must be tough to have to wait until it gets warm to try it out.

Nice Purcase, I can't say I am a fan of the art work on the bottom. Looks too thrown together for me, but I do hear that Walzer makes a mean board. That looks way to nice for EVA. Looks like it needs some wax make that sex wax

                  Hey Coach,

                  nothing better for your stick!

Nick, I expect you to be posting pictures of you on the Walzer like this. Amazingly, this was from James first ride on this board and the first time behind this boat.

What I really wanted to point out was the arch bar. James loves this one, he says that it really locks his foot in. I know that you wanted complete surface traction, but I personally have REALLY liked raised arch bars on the kickpad and on the nose. It helps me get a feel for where my foot placement is on the board...sort of a tactile rather than visual reference. When I switch from frontside to backside, it's easier for me to "remember" where my feet need to be in relation to the arch bar.

Sex wax on the boat? Never. That stuff gets everywhere. I got a couple irons in the fire for traction at this point. The only problen I have with arch bars is my flat feet. And when I say flat, I mean F'n flat! The arch bars generally hurt or, even worse, give me cramps in my feet. I was down at my local board shop checking out some stuff and really like the pads on the new CWBs. One of the guys is checking into getting one from the factory for me. Gotta love having a great relationship with your board shop.

As soon as I get out on the water, I'm gonna show James what's up.

I wanted to post this pic, Sean Ward of Sean Ward Photography reworked it to make everything but the board B&W.
