So what about the symetry? Are you not wanting to bring it up as it looks like things are turning in my favor on our other disargeement. Who's a$$ is blue now old man?

I gotta tell ya, if I can disprove you, I'm gonna feel pretty damn good about myself. You're pretty much the authority on stuff like this and if I can pull off an upset, I might just have to take me to dinner.

You now I respect you right?

My favorite joke is "winning an argument online is a LOT like participating in the special olympics, even if you win you're still retarded."

Just so that I am clear Nick, you are thinking that a MC owner/fan, is credible when he asks a MC dealer who is the hubby of a MC sponsored rider to verify the authenticity of a MC display ad, so he asks her and she remembers from 2 years ago the genuiness of the picture, from INSIDE the boat. First, it's what - 4th person? And you're thinking the dealer is going to say - Oh yeah that picture? Just asked my MC sponsored wife and she says: TOTALLY BOGUS, but it sure helps sell boats.

IMO, the lack of independence and verifiable evidence makes any representation pretty much BS Plus - half of the reposnses on the MC site were - Oh yeah, that's shopped. He selectively pulls one response as if that's factual!!!!!!!!!!! I think that by itself is evidence that he was LOOKING for a specific response and found it. Plus let's be honest we're talking MC owners here!!!!

Yeah Nick, I know you're one of my biggest fans...seems I have 2

I've been on some photo shoots with James and about 90% of the pictures you see where folks are going huge or doing these outrageous tricks, they don't land And I am willing to bet that the same percentage of pic's that make the mag's or are in ads are retouched in some fashion. In the good old days for surf mag's they used to tow folks in to waves and not disclose that - still do, but the "honest" mag's disclose: "towat".

I grant you that could be a surfboard, but I will go to my GRAVE before I will concede that picture is unretouched behind that boat.

I love seeing you get all fired up. I can almost hear you growling from here.

I'm not saying the guys on the MC site are credible in any way, but not any less than anyone else. It's just the fact that when this whole thing began, almost everyone was in the "shopped" camp. The more digging that is done, the more the evidence points to a real photo.

Now touched up and a full on "shopping" are two different things. Any published photo is going to be touched up, but that doesn't make it fake. When you cut one image from one photo and paste it on another, that is fake. I just don't see that with said photo. It may be enhanced in some way, but I see no evidence of cut-n-paste.

        Who's is your other fan?

Have you seen the other photo that Bronwy posted? That's a more accurate representation. Maybe backed to shopped. We'll never know for sure. The ONLY thing that I am willing to agree to is that the board seems to be real by virtue of the folks saying they saw it in a video - although I haven't seen said video.

I still believe that picture of PB is either from a different boat, or they've shopped the wake cleaning it up and elongating it, including the length of the cut, cleanliness of the face AND placed PB away from the transom.

Ok back to the the symmetry, I think I wasn't clear - not like it's significantly off or intentionally different - more like the difference between CNC machined and shaped by hand.

These pictures, especially as you look at the stringers and the fin box show just a slight difference, at least per my bifocals that make me think they were shaped by hand. The thread talks about the one shape being done in the 80's LONG before CNC machining of blanks was common.

I can't even imagine trying to lay that thing out by hand. But you're right, that fin box does look a bit off.

Absolutely beautiful. I cant imagine the amount of work to shape it by hand… If it is not CNC, it is from a true artist.

Hey Tequila… “what the hell is an aluminum falcon?” I about fell down laughing when a friend emailed me the video clip. Hysterical.

Scott, that is funny. I've only seen bits of the movies, but it had me rolling.

"you got an atm machine in that light bright chest plate of yours?"

"oh, oh, I though my dark lord of the sith could protect a small vent only 2 meters wide"

I think I can quote the whole thing
