    Wakeshaper won't stick

I can not for the life of me get my wakeshaper edge to suction the side of my 2013 RZR. I have tried to get it to stick on their all over the back and it will not stick. I contacted them and they told me it would stick. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Heavy on the wax? Try removing any wax back there. It will help.

I have tried wiping the area real good to remove the wax. Once and a while
I can get one suction cup to stick.

What UNSTUCK said. We always had issues with it staying on if I waxed the boat. Ended up using some cleaner to take the wax off just a small section where the shaper sat and all was good

What kind of cleaner did you use to take the section of wax off

Thank you. That makes sense. I’ll try again.

The rzr hull does not like to get a suction as it has a slight concave to it. When I had mine I guy up and just went with taps 3. I have heard people had better luck with the mission delta vs diy glass suction cups. I believe the delta has money back if it doesn’t work.

Have you tried sticking it to another known flat surface, like a house window or something? Does it stick to it okay?

Yes. Put in on a piece of glass and it stuck real good. I’m just not sure it the rubber is a little to hard for the contour of the hull or something.

As bsreid stated there is a concave surface on the RZR/R20. I used a DIY gate on my R20 and was able to get the front suction cup to attach.
I only found a spot where both cups would attach one time and never found it again.

But with a little effort, about 1 minute, I could always get the front suction attached and it was strong enough to hold with no problems and the pressure against it would keep the back cup against the hull.
Surf all day no problems and no shift of the gate.

That’s good to know. When I could get the front cup to stick I wondered if it would stay while moving. Good to know it will. Thank you

I have a ‘14 RZR and really no luck sticking to the hull because of its contour.
