Additionally, recouping what the GSA sells for at MSRP, and what elevated might be able to sell it for may be a different consideration altogether! Just food for thought.
Oh I agree whole heartedly as well, and Im a firm believer you will never get your money back on mods. In this case it was simply a question based on the fact that he is mentioning upgrading to a new(er) boats soon. If its that soon I was curious if the 4k wouldnt be better just spent towards the new boat. Guess from Cek1s exoerience its $ well spent though. Just trying to learn

As someone that is happy with the current waves produced by listing and running a suck gate is the only real reason to go to GSA the ease of switching left to right? How much better could one expect the wave to get?....I know this is also dependent on the current set up. Is it longer, cleaner, more push? Just trying to gauge why people decide to pull the trigger on these types of set ups or if it's just ease of use? For myself pretty much all of my usual crew is regular so switching isn't much of an issue. It's only my wife and my friends wife that are goofy so we just have to run down the list before we switch over.

The wave is significantly better different with GSA compared to running listed or with a suck gate. I’ll second what elevated had to say, it also works pretty damn good on taps 3 boats.

BC, I would say its definitely a bump up in all those categories. I think you will notice the biggest difference in the rear of the wave. This is really where GSA hydro thruster design separates itself. The back end power in the wave from that system is pretty incredible IMO. Suck gates are awesome, really are. To me, the ability to adjust the different aspects of the wave with the plate and the back end power make it a home run. Will it give you 3x the wave? no. Will it give you some killer attributes that you dont have. I think so.

I knew you would love it. You are also a pretty big wave snob like me

I'll just leave this one right here. Do with it as you will.

My only hangup is IF you havent taken care of upping your ballast game and you dont already have a shaper Id go that route first. ONLY reason I say that is you are talking about upgrading. If you are upgrading soon dropping that kind of coin is money I think youd be hard pressed to fully recoup on a used sale. Though maybe Cek1 and others that sold their boats with GSA on it can weigh in.

Getting weight right and running a shaper can net you big wave gains if you havent done that is I guess my point. Can also be done a lot cheaper than 4k.
I appreciate so much in this comment. All the stuff above is what led me to GSA. I have, what I consider, the max ballast I want to run. I have the sacs that go from my cooler to the rear of the boat starboard, and from the port long seat to the rear of the boat, and they both completely fill the locker. The front ballast is always full, and if we don’t have a boat load of people, I have fat sacs in the walk way and rear seat. With that, I can make, in my opinion, a great wave. That set up has potential for 4000 lbs’ish with people, but the non surf side is typically about a quarter full. I’m not an awesome surfer, but I love a clean wave. I fill the surf side 100%, and then fill the non surf side until it’s washed, then dump water until it’s crisp and clean. I also accomplish the fills and transfers with an extra cross over pump.
I say all this, as even with 3 pumps going, I can get about 3 beers drank by the time I can switch from the best side, goody, to the port. I also typically have either my wife or someone that isn’t as sharp of a driver pulling me, when I finally get my ride. With it listed and the shaper, it adds a dynamic that keeps me wondering WTF are they doing spinning circles with my boat instead of picking me up for another pull.
Then the money recoupment. I am running with the idea that I will not recoup my investment of the total cost of the GSA. I do think the house analogy is spot on. I consider it like upgrading my house paint or re-plastering my pool. Will it make my house worth more, nah, but if I do decide to sell it, I bet my pebble Tec pool will look better than the yellowed out plaster of the others and hopefully be the deciding factor on what one sells.
All this said, who knows? I’m in Vegas, and when in Vegas...

You say GSA works good on Taps3 boats, can you elaborate? Are you saying people have uninstalled taps3 surf plates and replaced with GSA?
