I personally don’t do upgrades on my boat(s) with resale as a consideration. I look at it like “it’s a boat, not an investment”. Additionally, recouping what the GSA sells for at MSRP, and what elevated might be able to sell it for may be a different consideration altogether! Just food for thought.

As someone that is happy with the current waves produced by listing and running a suck gate is the only real reason to go to GSA the ease of switching left to right? How much better could one expect the wave to get?....I know this is also dependent on the current set up. Is it longer, cleaner, more push? Just trying to gauge why people decide to pull the trigger on these types of set ups or if it's just ease of use? For myself pretty much all of my usual crew is regular so switching isn't much of an issue. It's only my wife and my friends wife that are goofy so we just have to run down the list before we switch over.

My only hangup is IF you havent taken care of upping your ballast game and you dont already have a shaper Id go that route first. ONLY reason I say that is you are talking about upgrading. If you are upgrading soon dropping that kind of coin is money I think youd be hard pressed to fully recoup on a used sale. Though maybe Cek1 and others that sold their boats with GSA on it can weigh in.
Getting weight right and running a shaper can net you big wave gains if you havent done that is I guess my point. Can also be done a lot cheaper than 4k.
I say all this, as even with 3 pumps going, I can get about 3 beers drank by the time I can switch from the best side, goody, to the port. I also typically have either my wife or someone that isn’t as sharp of a driver pulling me, when I finally get my ride. With it listed and the shaper, it adds a dynamic that keeps me wondering WTF are they doing spinning circles with my boat instead of picking me up for another pull.
Then the money recoupment. I am running with the idea that I will not recoup my investment of the total cost of the GSA. I do think the house analogy is spot on. I consider it like upgrading my house paint or re-plastering my pool. Will it make my house worth more, nah, but if I do decide to sell it, I bet my pebble Tec pool will look better than the yellowed out plaster of the others and hopefully be the deciding factor on what one sells.
All this said, who knows? I’m in Vegas, and when in Vegas...

Bamer: I think he's referring to this from his answer to my post " This is really where GSA hydro thruster design separates itself. The back end power in the wave from that system is pretty incredible IMO"
