Go Surf Assist on RZ2

Hi, I have searched quite a bit, and cannot find anything on the outcome of installing GSA on an RZ2. Is there anyone that can give me a review on the setup with the RZ2? I have a very well taken care of 2010 and would like put a nice automated system on it. The guys at GSA said they have completed over 50 on the RZ2s, so hoping at least a few of you are on here. I would also be interested to hear if any of you have put a different automated system on that have had great outcomes.

Thanks for the replies! Cek1, how did the GSA compare to your RZX2 system? I have not gotten to ride behind the RZX2, but they look amazing. I need to do my best with the RZ2 until I can step up!

This seems to be the common feeling about the GSA. I am more than likely buying it, but I just wanted see a review or two of a RZ2 in action with it. I am probably just being a little paranoid that it may just be a 4k marginal improvement that I could have lived without until I can upgrade.

I think this is a hard comparison. One is an OEM system tested on their hulls. Actuator travel and plate size and shape, the other is an aftermarket universal plate system. Does not even touch on the fact that the RZ2 and RZX2 hulls are worlds apart.

But hay, good or bad for your boat, at least someone here can make you a deal on it.

I’ve been on my best behavior with with you for the last time.

If I were you I would steer clear of me and surf systems you are way out matched. You could spend every day the rest of your life installing surf Systems and or out using them and still not be worthy of toweling me off after a session.

I have put Gsa on even the most stubborn of hulls such as the asr and made it an absolute beast. I have had it on rzx, zx, rzrs and almost everything in between. I have done the same with taps 3.

He had input from others that was spot on including info from Tige direct. Why would I need to ramble on? Unlike you, I don’t need to sound off to feel important.

He made a comment about making a 4K gamble. Given this is my realm, I offered to help him if he so desired since no one else did.

Stop acting like a tool, you are better then that and with all you do the industry needs you better then that.

To the OP. Below is a photo of an rz4 with Gsa. Again, no reason to burn 4K. If you want to save some money i can help there. If not fine too.

These are a couple of my Z1 with GSA.

I installed the GSA on my Old 2009 Supra 21V Launch. It made a 100% difference in the suability of the boat. The install took me about 8 hours. The person down at GSA was awesome (Ryan), he walked me through it. If I had another boat with out a surf system, I would do it again. The hardest part of the install is figuring out the first plate and then drilling the holes in the boat. Drilling the oles is easy, its just deciding do I really want to drill holes below the water line! I had at least two shops in my area say they could not do it. My advice is to do it yourself, just take your time, lay everything out, and do it.

I would say this, GSA is a wonderful system. It trumps TAPS 3. I would disagree with any suggestion that it is an “unknown” and second to a factory set up.
