Hello all, last winter the fiance and I saw some wake surfing videos and were immediately interested. I sold my DD supra and found a 2004 22v limited with low hours and good price. No ballast so we are doing the manual fill (uggggg)
Surf side rear locker: 1100lbs
Surf side under seat:300
Front: 600 to 900
Will put 100 to 300 non surf side locker to clean up wave.
Taps 1 to 3
Speed gps- 11.5 to 11.7
Board lf fish 5-6 (I know I know)
I'm 6 ft 230 she's 180
Been out 10 or so times and we are just not getting.
Seems we can go ropeless all day 2ft off the swim deck but back in the wave we wash out quickly.
One day I was to friendly with the refreshments and gave up driving duty and surfed, had a grand ole time and ended up going ropless several feet off the deck and "felt it" now I can't find it again unless we are right in the swim deck.
Also if we position our feet extremely biased to the front of the board we have slack all day in the rope. I understand this board is not ideal but we have read several threads where people our size have no issues riding the board with pics of waves washed out and weak looking.
We play on Brookville lake in Indian a so I know depth is no issue.
Any tips pointers direction help would be greatly appreciated! We are hooked!
