    Family surf pics

Well I have to say our family has changed since the addition of some wake-surfers in our boat. My wife up until now has never had a "hobby" except for her kids, and now we have created a monster along with myself and son. We are all wakesurfing, I thought I would never stray from wakeboarding, and wishing the season wasn't coming to an end... I have attached some pics (maybe over the next couple of posts), to show what our wake looks like with basically no ballast, just people. I LOVE MY TIGE!!!!

Looks like a ton of fun! It's such a good "addiction" to have

Since my wife learned a month or so ago, she looks for every excuse under the sun to get to the lake. It's starting to cool down quick here now so she ordered a wet suit for herself. Normally her wakeboarding season would have ended weeks ago.

It's the easiest thing you'll ever try, especially if you can get up on a wakeboard. Go to http://www.howtowakesurf.com.

this is the funnest thing to do when the water gets to rough to wakeboard in. Beats tubing hands down.

Yup, hours and hours of fun.

bfrank, given that your family skis, it should be easy. It's a lot less work and impossible to hurt yourself. Don't forget to get a rope. An old trick ski handle should be plenty. You won't need a tower either.

                          Speed

We've tried all different setups to clean up the wake, my speedometer reads between 13-14.5 to get a good wake (I'm not sure how accurate it is at that slow speed)... any faster or slower it gets washed out.
We always seem to have a little more difficulty cleaning up the starboard wake, but I believe that is due to the spin of the prop. My wife also likes a longer/shorter wake to play with so we put a little weight in the bow to do that.
We will be buying a ballast system this winter... so it will be interesting to see how the wake changes.

For first timers.. we are self taught... my wife was a natural, son picked up up fairly quickly... I was the dog, it took me quite a while to be able to stay in the pocket and free-ride. It's a bit of a learning curve to get the wake right, and learning the whole balance thing... but it is a great FUN!!!!

Very cool pics. Our family, and friends, just started surfing this year and we all love it. One of the best things about surfing is that it can be done even when there's no glass! The ski and the wakeboard might have to be put away if it gets choppy but the surfboard still gets used.

Very nice pictures! I just bought a wake skate and my next purchase is going to be the surf board. Hopefully, this week. Do you have the Fresh Air Exhaust?
