Finally got my friend to make me a wake shaper, or whatever I will need to call it, in his fiberglass shop today. Virtually the same dimensions as a similar model you can buy for $600. It's mounted right at the water line so it is dead even with the bottom of the platform. I used the same industrial strength Velcro. I'll take a few pictures tomorrow to see what the before and after comparison.

Looks great. Just the same as the wake sharper. You might need to raise it up a bit. You will want it at the water level with the full ballast in the back. To low water will go over the top and wash out. So try it. If it doesn't work raise it up about 5 in to the water level when you weight the boat. Same weight on both port and starboard. You may have to make a 1 in shim to fill the gap between that upper and lower part of the hull. I can take pictures of what mine looks like to copy from. You will be pleased with the outcome.

The one I built with suction cups it's super hard to push down the front cup . What angle is the shaper at?If I'm not surfing, I'm making money to surf.

The dimensions are exactly the same as the Ronix, roughly 29 degrees. Unless you are worried about how your boat wrap looks on the trailer the Velcro isn't an issue, LOL.
