    22v surf question

I've been playing with the surf wave a little bit. I have FAE sitting in the house waiting to get some free time to install. My question is, Do I really need to cut my swim deck or will just the "Duffy" flap clean the wave up? I have the teak deck and my wife doesn't really want me to cut the deck. I figured I'd start with the flap and go from there. Thoughts? Thanks - Shaun

Try the flap first, see if that fixes it. Then cut the deck if needed. Easy.

Duffy, your current flap is 3/4 stall mat, correct?

x2 of what Duffy said. It will also depends on how much weight and where you run it. Also don't be afraid to play with different size and shapes of the mud flap. I have tried a lot of different mud flap sizes and shapes and it is pretty crazy how a little change in the flap can change the wave. Yep try the 3/4" horse stall mat.

            Make sure it's a stiff 3/4 mat.

I got the mat... That sucker is heavy! Hopefully I'll have time this week to get it cut, mounted, and begin testing. How wide are your flaps?
