    What is everyones weight setups?

MLA custom port side so about 1200#, 400# offside, 180# lead in surf side locker behind sac, 80#lead in old cooler with the batteries, and about 200# in bow. 2 people in boat , 12mph and taps at 5.

I've only run it on the 21v with 400 in surfside locker. And then the same 400 in offside locker. It was almost a better surf style wave. Seemed like it had more vert and more lip. See my previous posts for those pics. I'll most likely try that again and ride it myself. Got a new board to ride too!
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

This was my sister in law, she's only surfed a handful of times in her life and was able to ride way back and speed right back to the boat

I am not planning on filling my whole ballast system I believe the motor would explode. My goal is to hopefully add a little length to the wave with the suck gate. Plus it was fun to build.

Exactly why you should come out with me when you are down this way. I too have been behind almost all of them, to me this system is drastically different...

Here is a picture of my DIY surf tab. I made it for fun and it does a decent job and it gives me the ability to go from wakeboarding to surfing much quicker. It did fall off the side of the boat so I made the blade smaller and drilled a few 1" holes in it. I'm hoping that will lower the force and keep it from falling off.

The suction cup and cutting boards were bought at harbor freight. The metal shelf brackets are from Home Depot. Total cost was around $25.

Well my results aren't that great. No matter what weight we tried it's still not as good as my fully listed wave. I would say it was 85% or so my fully listed wave.

                I tried

2500 surf side, suckgate on with it furthest back. 500 in the bow. I had a crew of 10, tried moving them which didn't seem to hurt the wave. Speed range was 11-12.5. Wave was long and very pretty. But the transition was strange and the lip was soft. It looked a lot like the slammed g23-25 waves I have surfed. The wave also didn't have as much push. I bet most people would have been very happy with it. But still not as good as my heavily listed wave.

I did everything full, so about 4500 in water and another 700 in lead, but with 10 people my boat couldn't get past 10 mph.

I did 75% full and the boat got to speed but rpms were very high and that caused the wave to be washy.

Everything 50% the boat held speed fine and the wave was pretty. Reminded me of the stock 247 gate wave. Again most people would have been happy with it, especially skim surfers. Just lacked the height, push and size of my listed wave.

I will try it again today with a smaller crew. Also I might use it for teaching people to surf since the lip is softer it will be more foregiving. Super fun to build!

This is exactly what my suckgate did too. That line in the wave 1/2 way up is killling it. How are guys getting rid of it?

How do you get it to look like that with a gate. Listed yes, gate I can't.

I have the M Delta for my R20 .... still tweaking, but so far I'm really happy. I have upgraded 1,000# sacks in the rear lockers and 300# of lead up front (half in storage in front of driver and half in same spot on opposite side). Front sacks are factory and I've been running them full. I surf reg, so surf side rear at 100% and non-surf side at ~80%. Delta is set up with plate forward, all the way back on the boat and ABOVE the step/chine (gate does nothing for me below the chine). 10.4 mph and TAPS on 4. Wave is very long, lots of push and no issues with gate popping off. Fells like I got a new boat - that I didn't need but really like!

And +1 for the all-plastic floating M Delta! A buddy of mine had the Wake FX. Kept popping off, and on one occasion it flew back into the boat, nearly hit his daughter in the head and, upon impact, tore/punctured the cushion on the rear corner. Shortly after that it came off again, safety line broke and it sunk. I think, in his eyes, it was a good ending to their relationship. I let him use my M Delta and he bought one for himself.
