I ordered the same suction system and the kids confirm it made it to the house, so when I get home in three weeks, I will start building my own. Definitely would like to hear how on Ruger's progress

After brainstorming this idea for a couple of months since seeing sneak pics of the Delta and not wanting to spend $500 or wait till mid June, I took a shot at making my own.

I had some scrap starboard in the garage, just barely enough to make this. Price Free. The suction cup handle I picked up on Amazon for $9. Stainless steel hardware was $14. Total cost $23.

        1. Drew up and cut some templates out on my wife's Vinyl cutter.
        2. Cut the parts on a band saw and miter saw
        3. Routed the edges
        4. Shaped the wake plate with a belt sander
        5. Assembled with Stainless hardware.

Tools used, You name it I used it.

Looks good. I'm just really concerned about the effectiveness of it on the Jeep though. (you knew jack... was going to say it).

Not sure it's going to do much for your pool game either.

Looks pretty nice, man. Nice work.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

                    jbgp1200,

Sick work. I have all the same material ready and I'm going to build one of these tonight. I sent a PM, can you share your templates or add some dimensions. Let us know how it works too!

Not sure. Not to rub it in across the country but it won't stop raining here in Austin. I'll try next weekend of the weather will allow it.

Very nice work indeed. How thick is the starboard are you using? Is it 1/2", 3/4", or...?

                                1/2"

The 1" supports were made from two pieces that I gorilla glued together and then secured with a 3/4 screw on each side. Those are cut to 10 degrees.

Making sure all of the screws didn't hit each other was a bit of a puzzle. With some double checking before I pre drilled and a combination of 1.5" and 2" screws it went together pretty easy.
