Cool. I was so close to pulling the trigger on this a few months ago at the boat show.

GoSurfAssist is local for me, so I can get those guys to do the install.

The fact that they hadn't done a Tige Z1/Z3 before was the only thing that had me hesitant. So your results will likely be the deciding factor for me....

Yeah the instructions show that they have never done a Z1/Z3. I'll take some good pics of the hinge mod that I had to do because of the swim deck mounting spot. It's actually a really easy job once you've seen it done. I could do another one in 3-4 hours pretty easily. (Z1 that is)

Does anyone know what Tige is doing for the brackets with the TAPS3 boats? Maybe the brackets don't interfere with their system. If they have a modified platform bracket, that may be a good option for folks looking to upgrade their boats as you have.

Nice work BTW. I am looking forward to seeing the results.

I am still waiting for someone to try installing a TAPS3 type system into a ConvexVX or AVX and have even more adjustment with the VX clean wave.

They use the same brackets as before but the hydraulic ram is mounted to the swim step instead of the hull. there is a lot more clearance that way.

The Gosurf Assist website shows a Black 22Ve with this system. Does anyone know who's boat that is? I would like to hear how its working for them.

Any updates on the wave performance? I am watching closely for the assessment of cost plus time vs reward! Thanks for keeping us updated this far! The install pictures look fantastic!

No updates yet. Had to make an emergency trip to Vegas for a little R&R and daughter has a soccer tournament this weekend. I'll be out next weekend. I'm going to swap bags while I'm out there too. I have the stock Pro system in it now as well as MLA bags that I'm going to swap to see the difference that the extra weight makes. I also just received a couple hundred pounds of lead bags from Ragboy (thank you again) that I'll throw under the bow.

Had a few too many cocktails in Vegas and bought the delta gate from Mission so we'll see what that does in addition to the tabs.. (they haven't shipped yet)

I was out there a few weeks ago and did the "high roller".....

Throw a bunch of aircrew in a pod with full bar and all you can drink for 30 min?.......challenge accepted... (that night ended early)

Yep. We've done that a couple times too... makes the next morning a little rough but worth the fun.

my taps plate quit working and it was stuck on two. but here is a quick vid of the change from regular to goofy side. Stock pro ballast setup front and rear all 100% full. I'm heading out this weekend with the taps plate fixed, some friends and a lot of extra ballast to play with.

Lots of push. I have some video but photobucket is being a pain. Here's a pic. Front bags full surf side full non surf 50%. I have the MLA big bag on the goofy side so there's lots of weight. 11.2 mph.
