Has anyone tried the 2016 Eight.3 Ronix Wakesurf Shaper? If so how well did it work. pros & cons
I'm think about getting it for my 2004 tige 22v. Thanks
I have a 2013 Z3. I tried my best to make it work, but could not. There are too many varying lines and angles to make a clean fit. Seems for our Tige's would need a customized adapter or something.
My kid just sent me the U tube video on it, I have a 2015 Z3 with AVX
not likely to benefit my boat unless it worked with the AVX and keeping the boat more level is the goal.
Think of it this way.... There are three aspects of a wave: height, shape and length.
Height is determined by displacement. (Ballast)
Length is determined by speed and boat pitch (though AVx or TAPS2, or nose ballast)
Shape is created by the hull which is augmented by list or 'track' (ie. Twisting the boat). In essence tyou are altering how hull interacts with the water by tipping or twisting.
AVx only really affects the ratio of height to length. It also helps clean up the wave a bit. (And channel the prop wash)
The eight.3 is designed to twist the boat such that you don't need list to create that clean shape we all love. This means you shouldn't need list.
