    Fresh Air System

I noted some discussion about FAE in other threads. I think this is a fresh air system.

Do these systems need to be removed for wakeboarding speed? how about slalom or barefoot speed?

I installed the Fresh Air Exhaust (FAE) on my boat last year. It's "permanetly" (it can be removed with tools) affixed and isn't affected by the speed of the boat.

I slalomed with mine just last weekend. It works great. Get the transom mount quick release for when you need to take the platform off. Definately the way to go.

Nick, tell me about the quick release! That wasn't an option when I purchased mine.

Not much more that a couple of bimini ends where the supports connect to the square tubing on the platform. Pull two screws (one for each support) and it is diconnected. When I originally ordered my FAE, I ordered it with the transom mount so that I could remove the platform easily in order to fit the boat in the garage. I finally just chickened out of drilling 4 holes in the back of the boat and had just read somewhere that someone had gotton a quick release set up on theirs. I called Larry up and he said he was working out an even better quick release system and that if I waited a few weeks he would hook me up with one of those. I waited and I'm glad I did. The way it all comes together really takes a lot of the length out of the all thread section and replaces it with....You know what, I'll get some pics of it up tomorrow. It will be a lot easier to see than to have me try to explain it. I'm sure Larry will hook you up for a Jackson or so.

Totally off topic but I figured you, Surfdad, could appreciate the name and the grafix on my boat. I replaced the old Tige on the sides with this.

Nice! Mine are pretty beat up...I wonder how much fade there is on my sides 'cause they're red.
