    wakesurfing rope

I have been looking to purchase a wakesurfing rope and can't find an internet site that sells them. I figured Wakeside would carry them but they don't. Does anybody here know who carries them. Thanks for any info.

don't waste your money on a wakesurf rope. take an old ratty handle and an old ratty rope and put em together. you aren't supposed to use a rope anyway.

As a victim of my own stupidity on the subject, I'd like to disagree with Derek's comment.

Please use a wakesurf specific rope. Here's Why:

Last year I was surfing and using an old ski rope for deep water starts. I had just pulled up, was coiling the rope up to throw back in the boat, when I fell. Usually its not a big deal, but this time my right arm went through the handle up to my shoulder and I was drug underwater for a short period of time. It was probably less than 5 seconds, but it was scary as h*ll. I could not resurface, or get my shouler released from the handle until the boat was completely stopped.

I'm a cetified lifeguard, a strong swimmer, and was wearing a CGA vest at the time, and still it was an extremely scary situation.

So again I recommend a Wakesurf specific rope, with a small handle or knots.

Surfed for the first time yesterday with an old rope and handle and told my buddy to be careful because of the horror stories about being drug and sure enough he fell and the rope wrapped around his wrist. He didn't get dragged but it alomst ripped his glove off. I tried to pick a wakesurf rope up on Saturday but they were all sold out. I will be ordering one today. Oh by the way surfing was waaaaaaaay fun.

                  Carter,

Ok, I was at Hagg Lake and saw a Tige'. Didn't get a chance to say hi to them.

                    LF rope

I would strongly recommend Liquid Force's wakesurf rope. I finally found one online (buywake.com?) But that is a great rope.
By the way Jilly, how's it going... long time no talk. Is there a bunch of surfers out at Haag Lake, we've seen a few out on the Willamette. Maybe we should link up someday, my wife has become addicted to wakesurfing.

                    Later,

                    Steve

Actually, it was on wakegiant.com.. see link below
