Strange request for any surfers in Phoenix area

    Hi Guys,

Upgraded from a 97 Tige to an 06 22V! My wife and I love to wakesurf so I plan to put in a automated ballast system soon. Ive been playing around with portable ballast bags and cant get a wave much better than no ballast. Im ready to sink the money into a system but would love to surf behind someone's boat that is happy with their system and then just copy it!
I would be more than happy to pay all fuel expenses LOL!

Being in outside sales, Im pretty flexible!

Let me know if anyone has any interest!!

    Thanks

There's a ballast install thread on here by Skippabcool on a 07 22ve. There should be enough info and video's to help you out. I think it's in the Tige V-Drives section or the Ballast section. I just can't remember.
I do all my own stunt work. hey ya'll watch dis.

22v is an epic surf boat. Get custom enzo style sacs and v-drive sacs in the bow and you will have an epic surf wave.

what do you have for fat sacs today? You should at least be able to do better than no ballast.

          I have 2 350lb sacks and 1 550lb sack.
Wake may have been a little better but didn't feel it was worth the additional 45 minutes of trying to drain them at end of day when you're tired and burnt!!!
I put the 2 350's in the bow and the 1 550 in surf side locker.

Too much for the bow with only 550 in the back IMO. With only 550, I would not run any bow weight. Try a 550 in the lock and a 350 in the seat along the side.

Thanks chpthrill, I kinda thought it might be too much in bow cause it was making a strange looking wake. My buddy even made the comment that he did better behind my '97 lol.
I definitely have wake envy of some if the videos I've seen on here :-)

Look up topazsurfer's set up. His wave is off the hook. It's pretty extreme but the results are amazing.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Duner, you are going to love this boat - the 22v is such an easy boat to wieght for surfing. I had some people on my boat this past weekend that know surf waves pretty well and they raved over the wave it makes.

Like NickyPoo said, look up Topazsurfer's set up - but I can give you a run down of what he is running, which is what I run minus the lead and a few pounds in the rear (...for now, lead coming).
1600 rear surf side - none on the other side
                  1100 bow - u shaped bag (650) + 400 in lead

I have an enzo sac in the storage compartment and a u-shape bag up front - then place extra people accordingly. The wave is so nice, and so easy to setup.
